Telling a Story Through Charms
Charms have long been a favorite sentimental collectible for ladies and lovers. In the Art Deco period, the use of platinum allowed jewelers to create fantastic realistic and detailed charms. Often times they depicted lifestyle activities such as serving a cocktail or wildlife themes such as rabbits or dogs. At Keyamour, charms always fascinate us, and we always buy exceptional ones from the Deco to Retro periods.
We want to highlight a particular item that we are excited to have. In the 1940s when styles changed drastically from white platinum jewelry to bold gold jewelry, ladies decided to redesign their charm bracelets. Often times we find them now stuck onto gold cuffs, or cigarette boxes. This particular bracelet is one of the best examples we have seen.
This cuff has well executed, colorful gem set charms. Some are curved, so I would venture to say some charms might have been made for the cuff as well. Check them out!
My favorites are the hand holding the martini (how can I not love that?), the telephone, and the roulette wheel that spins. Of course the "U R OK" charm is a great reminder that everything is going to be fine.
There are 23 diamond gems charms in total. A simply spectacular collection of charms, on a wide impressive cuff.
