Victorian 18k Gold Diamond Emerald Engraved Triple Snake Ring
A solid 18k gold Victorian snake ring set with two old mine cut diamonds and one emerald, circa 1890. The ring depicts snakes circling around each other. The head of the snakes are set with stones - 2 diamonds weighing about 0.25 cts total and one emerald weighing about 0.15 ct. The engraving on the ring goes 3/4 of the way around the ring, so it can be gently sized. It is currently a size 4. Prince Albert gave Queen Victoria a snake ring as an engagement ring, and started a Victorian trend of snake jewelry.
