A true collector's piece! This foil backed rosecut cluster ring features a chunky high domed rosecut diamond that has a charming irregular outline surrounded by equally high domed rosecut diamonds. It dates to about 1820. The total diamond weight is estimated to be 2.20 cts. The backing is still pretty clean, so the diamonds look bright and lively. The shoulders are ornate split shank scrolls and there is engraving that goes all the way around the ring. It truly is amazing the condition of this ring after nearly 200 years! The ring is a size 6 3/4 and can be sized within reason.
