Original 14k gold gas pipe necklace suspending a locket with a ruby horseshoe made in Russia circa 1860. The Russian maker is Leopold Karlovich who was a Russian Court jeweler in the 1850s and 1860s. Though a little known maker, he indeed made jewels for the Tzar. This little jewel is in its original box and is actually modern looking necklace in wonderful condition. The gas pipe necklace is not stretched and feels nice when worn. The pendant has its original bloom and opens to reveal a place for photos. The horseshoe as 6 nice bright cushion cut rubies. The pendant is 1.5 inches long and 1.25 inches wide. The necklace is 17 inches long.
