Antique Victorian Silver and Gold Diamond Cluster Ring
Early Victorian antique cut diamond cluster ring set in silver and gold circa 1840. Rings like this were very popular in the Georgian and Victorian period, with the closed back ring preceding the later Victorian fashion of setting diamonds in open settings. The ring is made in 18k gold with a rose tint to it. The diamonds are a mix of old mine cuts and flat pear shape cut diamonds set in silver with a closed back setting. There are 34 stones weighing approximately 2.30 carats. The stones are mostly graded as J-L color and VS to SI. The top portion of the ring measures 5/8 of an inch. The ring is currently a size 6.
