Victorian Blue Guilloché Enamel Gold and Diamond Cuff Bracelet

SOLD

This brilliant blue guilloché enamel bracelet is a work of art. Guilloché comes from the French verb meaning "engine-turning" and the term refers to the pattern of the cross hatching in the enamel and not the enamel itself. On this bracelet with inspection you can clearly see the woven linear pattern in the enamel itself. It creates a cross hatch pattern with lighter and darker blue. On top of that, white dots accent the pattern. A silver topped button with small diamonds secures the bracelet as if it were simply a blue grosgrain ribbon wrapped around the wrist. In reality this 18k gold beauty is constructed in panels that surround the wrist and secures with a tongue closure on the side. This is an example of Victorian era craftsmanship and romanticism at its finest.
