Antique mid-Victorian braided gold bracelet set with red carbuncle garnets and suspending a heart shaped locket, circa 1860. The gold bracelet knots around the oval shaped garnets in a delightful pattern. The large cabochon garnet in the heart is a brilliant red hue, and the reverse of the heart reveals a glass where hair or a photo can be stored. This is a wonderful piece from the Victorian era, uniting the theme of lovers knots with the heart and the popularity of carbuncle garnets. The bracelet is tested for 18k gold. The bracelet is 6 inches long.
